We'd like to stay
New Year's Night
We've seen your cabins
Man, what a site!
Out in the woods
With Bear and Owl
We'll keep real quiet
(Only coyotes howl).
We need some time
to Meditate
To reflect on life
And contemplate.
So if are you available
on New Year's Eve
For James and Jenny
It's what we need.
We seek a place where the bright salmon leap
And a rickety bridge spans a white foaming creek
Where the owners are friendly and the night’s filled with stars
And the bears only dance to acoustic guitars
We’ve a wedding to go to on a balmy June night
And Dancing Bear Cottage looks filled with delights
We don’t need a TV or night-life or bars – just a place
where the bears only dance to acoustic guitars
So if by some tiny miracle your cottage is free
On June twenty-second how happy we’d be
We won’t sing for our supper for that might alarm
Any bears who dance only to acoustic guitars
But we will walk your paths by the red salmonberry
And think on deep thoughts and really bad poetry
And any small discount will gladden our hearts
While we watch those bears dance to acoustic guitars
I dreamed one night
of a christmas delight,
to surprise my family with snow.
But where could I find
The thing in my mind?
Dashing off to Craigslist I go!
I saw seaside and lincoln
but thats not what I's thinkin
Then I read of your Dancing Bear.
My wife and my son
I knew would have fun
And I hoped we could stay there.
"We're too late" is my fear
because christmas draws near
And we need the 24th to 26
So if you have the room
Our hearts will bloom
we will come over for St Nick's
but our story's not done
I forgot our little one
only 6 pounds but she's full grown you see.
She a lover not a fighter,
nor a barker or a biter
she's our baby, and her name is cookie
Five years of marriage has passed with the blink of an eye
I remember when we met, we were both pretty shy
This Labor day weekend we'll be celebrating our 5th anniversary
and as soon as we get home, it's time to set up the nursery!
We'd both love to celebrate as Dancing Bear Guests
with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful setting and just get some rest.
We do have a dog, an Australian Shepherd named Cooper
He's really well behaved, and if he could join us it would be super!
So please let me know if September 3 - 6 has availability
And maybe we can save twenty dollars with this rhyme...hehehe!
When a Honeymoon is on the horizon,
and bees have brewed their mead,
two bears and their canine companion are looking for a cozy cabin,
to rest, recuperate and just "be".
A moment in time
A picture of snow sublime
With hopes set--not low--but high
We send this short notice desire
Carried through the matrix of wires
And, even though the time is near
yes, just around the corner we hear
We'll keep an open mind
and await good news
from the dancing bear
Summer comes slowly.
Shaking off mist and raindrops.
Surprise rainbows glow.
